Druid – Compact, Self-Braking Descender for Rope Access & Rescue
The Druid is a lightweight, compact self-braking descender engineered for rope access, rescue, and emergency evacuation. Designed for use with semi-static ropes from 10 to 11 mm, it delivers smooth, controlled descent with advanced safety features.
A built-in anti-panic function automatically re-engages the cam if the handle is pulled too far—helping prevent dangerous descent speeds. The body and handle are crafted from hot-forged aluminum alloy for strength and reduced weight, while internal components are made from precision-cast stainless steel for durability and long-term reliability.
The innovative internal mechanism provides fluid rope movement, minimizing wear and absorbing energy from minor shocks through controlled slippage. This design not only enhances descent control but also makes the Druid effective for rope ascent.
Whether you're descending, ascending, or performing a technical rescue, the Druid delivers high-performance control in a compact, versatile package.
Additional features include:
Cam deactivation trigger for rapid rope adjustment when unloaded or under minimal load.
Integrated steel ring for attaching a keeper cord.
